Gems in Wartune are used to enhance equipment within the Blacksmith. A gem can be placed into any equipment that has open sockets. Only one of each type of gem can inserted in each piece of equipment.
You need a socketing rods to unlock extra sockets on equipment. Legendary equipment can have a maximum of 4 sockets while all other equipment can have a max of 3 sockets.
Gems can be gotten from the catacombs or from events.

Gem Synthesis
All gems have a level ranging from 1-12 that determines the quality and bonus stats given when socketing them. Gems can be synthesized (lvl 2-lvl 7) into higher level gems using 4 gems of a level lower then the one you are trying to synthesize. Lvl 8-lvl 9 only use 3 gems of one level lower gem. No Data on lvl 10- lvl 12 Conversion.
Note: Waiting for gem synthesis event to synthesis your gems can really help you get awesome rewards.

Transposer Scrolls
In order to be able to create gems of higher levels past level 4 requires Transposer Scrolls. Except for Patk, Matk, Mdef, Pdef which can be received from Campaigns (You can still buy them but its best to wait and get them from the campaign events). One you have gained a scroll you have the ability to create that gem forever. Other Transposer scrolls can be purchased from the shop for Balens.
Transposer Scrolls Balen Prices / Obtain Locations:
- Lvl 5 = 75 Balens (Patk, Matk, Mdef, Pdef which can be received from MPD Campaign events)
- Lvl 6 = 145 Balens
- Lvl 7 = 295 Balens
- Lvl 8 = 595 Balens
- Lvl 9 = 1195 Balens or Random Prize for completing Necropolis lvl 10
- Lvl 10 = Random Prize for completing Necropolis lvl 15. Can also be gotten by exchanging the "lvl 10 gem synthesis formula" which can be gotten in the Golden Road.
- Lvl 11 = Random Prize for completing Necropolis lvl 20
- Lvl 12 = Random Prize for completing Necropolis lvl 30
Gem Conversion
Gems can be converted into other types of gems of the same level using the convert option in the blacksmith interface.
Gem Conversions Costs.
- Level 1 = 10,000 gold
- Level 2 = 20,000 gold
- Level 3 = 40,000 gold
- Level 4 = 80,000 gold
- Level 5 = 160,000 gold
- Level 6 = 320,000 gold
- Level 7 = 640,000 gold
- Level 8 = 1,280,000 gold
- Level 9 = 2,560,000 gold
- Level 10 = 5,120,000 gold
- Level 11 = 10,240,000 gold
- Level 12 = 20,480,000 gold
Soul engraving directly effects the bonus received from gems based on a set % based on its level up to a max of lvl 80 (+200% Bonus).
- Level 1-50，Gem effects +2% per level (2% - 100%)
- Level 51-70，Gem effects +3% per level (100% - 160%)
- Level 71-80，Gem effects +4% per level (160% - 200%)

Dual Gems
Ability to combine two same level 10+ different gems and get an new gems with stats from both gems.
Eg. Combine Pdef lvl10 gem and Mdef lvl10 gem to get a new lvl 10 dual gem with both pdef and mdef stats.
